A short writeup on Imanotsurugi and his past with his master Yoshitsune

◎ Is the character a hacker and/or do they have a sixth-sense?
He is most certainly not a hacker, but as a tsukumogami, he definitely would have a sixth sense!
◎ Personality:
"I'm Imanotsurugi! The sword that protected Lord Yoshitsune! How's that, amazing right?"
Imano would be the poster boy for a cheerful child, were he, you know, an actual child and not a tantou given life by magic. He’s one to live life to its fullest, and does so with upbeat confidence. He takes pride in his original life as a sword of the samurai Yoshitsune, as he was treated and used well by his master up until his last moments. This awareness that the swords in Touken Ranbu have when they were mere swords tends to have a significant impact on their personality, since swords are instrumental to their owner’s lives. Yoshitsune was a well-liked figure and a legendary one, whose skills and talented swordsmanship made Imanotsurugi proud to be his personal weapon. Imanotsurugi is actually one of the older weapons in comparison to others, and while he’s not particularly wise, he’s very comfortable with how he is.
“Eheheheh! The head monk said that playing with me is even worse than playing with fire!”
That said, Imanotsurugi is also like a child in that he’s very... childish. With the way he talks, emphasizing words by repeating them or drawing out certain syllables, he gives a vibe of seeming self-assured in what he wants and how he feels, like a kid would. Compared to the other tantous, his demeanor is much more carefree as well. He cares very much about entertaining himself from the throes of boredom, something kids can’t stand. Fortunately, he can find ways to keep himself busy. Unfortunately for others, that means being a bit of a troublemaker. While it’s usually harmless trouble and usually unintentional if someone were to get hurt, Imano doesn’t think about the consequences beyond it amusing him, showing a sort of one-track mind.
“If I wait quietly like a good boy, you'll play with me, right?”
Playing pranks and fooling around are a good way to get attention, but Imanotsurugi knows when to behave and help others out, and genuinely so. He’s easygoing and has no intention of manipulating people for his own gain, he finds it easier to think in the moment more often. His heart is in the right place, all things considered. The thing that he finds even worse than boredom is loneliness, which may not be surprising for his outgoing spirit, though he has good reason for it due to his past. He’s loyal to his new master, the Saniwa, doing what is asked of him and trying to be helpful, wanting to tell the Saniwa any good news with enthusiasm. He So none of that “means to an end” business, it’s less complicated this way and more fun for him if everything’s just an “end”.
"Since his time at the temple, I have been by the lord's side, all the way until the end! That's right... until the very last moment…"
Even for those brimming with energy, they don’t have constant happiness. Imanotsurugi is no exception to that, nor is he a stranger to pain. Yoshitsune had committed ritual suicide with Imanotsurugi, the sword who was created to protect him, and the incident has left lasting scars (longer swords even express relief at being unlikely being used for suicide, as it’s rather traumatic). For this reason, he fears to be left completely alone, and depending on the circumstance, genuinely risky situations will worry him. When he gets more emotional, it shows in two ways, even if they are not completely obvious. One way is that he will drop the accentuations in his voice and speak more normally, sometimes with the slightest hesitation as well. The other, more dangerous one is that he thinks more rashly, getting caught up in his desperate wishes. The good news is that he isn’t unreasonable when upset, as Iwatooshi proves when convincing Imanotsurugi that they cannot change the past to prevent their tragedies, and with few words at that. Imanotsurugi may not be the best at dealing with negative feelings, but he will listen to others for guidance and help.
◎ Powers/Abilities: Since he’s a spirit based on a sword, it comes with a few perks. For one, he’s a bit more durable than a normal person, and very perceptive in battle thanks to the exposure of being involved in fights. He also is naturally skilled with his tantou and perhaps other short blades like knives, since that’s his original form. However, in comparison to other, larger swords under the Saniwa’s command, he’s much weaker than them in terms of durability and strength. His one standout talent in comparison to them is a higher chance of going into an “awakened” state, where he can deal critical, deadlier attacks. However that is risky, as it requires him to be considerably hurt when he isn’t exactly sturdy. Also, if his original form breaks, he will die.
◎ Weapons & Other Special Inventory: His original form of a tantou that serves as a weapon, the clothes he’s wearing, and a change of casual clothes
CEREALIA-Specific
◎ Element: Air. Like the wind, he’s whimsical and free-spirited.
